Fire alarm installation in Shepton Mallet.

Fire alarms in Shepton Mallet

Shepton Mallet is a working market town with older industrial and brewing heritage buildings, a mix of High Street retail, trading estates and larger employers on its outskirts. The Royal Bath and West showground nearby brings seasonal events and temporary structures.

Premises we work with in Shepton Mallet

• Town centre shops and pubs in older buildings, sometimes with accommodation above.
• Industrial units and workshops on estates around the town.
• Offices in converted buildings where layouts are unusual.
• Event and showground premises with large buildings and varying occupancy.
• Rented homes and HMOs where landlords have specific duties.

Local considerations

Trading estates often mean several units under common ownership, where the landlord and tenants share responsibility. Workshops and stores bring heat, dust and stored materials, so detector choice and extinguisher selection both matter.

Fire and rescue service

Shepton Mallet falls under Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service. Enforcing authorities can ask to see your fire risk assessment, fire alarm records and logbook, so having them in order is worth the effort. See your responsibilities.
