Fire alarm installation in Glastonbury.

Fire alarms in Glastonbury

Glastonbury’s High Street and Magdalene Street are lined with independent shops, cafes, therapy rooms and guest accommodation, many in old buildings that have been adapted over time. The mix of uses and the age of the buildings make fire detection a design question rather than a catalogue choice.

Premises we work with in Glastonbury

• Independent shops often with storage above or behind and flats overhead.
• Cafes and restaurants where kitchen detection must avoid constant unwanted alarms.
• Therapy and treatment rooms small rooms in converted buildings, sometimes with candles or incense in use.
• Guest houses and holiday lets needing a proper system for sleeping guests.
• Community halls and venues with large open rooms and varying occupancy.

Local considerations

Shared buildings are common here, with several small businesses under one roof. Responsibility for common parts usually rests with the landlord, and the system has to work for everyone. Candles, incense and kitchen fumes are everyday causes of unwanted alarms, so detector choice matters.

Fire and rescue service

Glastonbury falls under Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service. Enforcing authorities can ask to see your fire risk assessment, fire alarm records and logbook, so having them in order is worth the effort. See your responsibilities.

How we work in Glastonbury

Glastonbury is a short drive from our base in Wells, so surveys are easy to arrange. We start with a survey, explain the options and price the system that suits the building. Then we install, commission and hand over with the records. Details: fire alarm installation, servicing, fire safety checks and extinguishers.
