Fire alarm installation in Wedmore.

Fire alarms in Wedmore

Wedmore is a village on the edge of the Somerset Levels, with a working centre of shops, pubs, a school and surgeries, surrounded by farms, rural businesses and holiday accommodation. Many buildings are old, and many are in the hands of owners who have never had to think about fire alarms before.

Premises we work with in Wedmore

• Village shops, pubs and cafes with older construction and flats or accommodation above.
• Farms and farm shops with barns, workshops and holiday lets.
• Schools and nurseries needing reliable detection and clear records.
• Village hall and church where wireless devices avoid chasing historic walls.
• Small workshops and offices in converted rural buildings.

Local considerations

Rural premises often have separate buildings that need linking, dust and animal housing that upset detectors, and thatch or timber that raise the fire risk. See rural businesses.

Fire and rescue service

Wedmore falls under Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service. Enforcing authorities can ask to see your fire risk assessment, fire alarm records and logbook, so having them in order is worth the effort. See your responsibilities.

How we work in Wedmore

Wedmore is a short drive from Wells across the Mendip foothills. We start with a survey, explain the options and price the system that suits the building. Then we install, commission and hand over with the records. Details: fire alarm installation, servicing, fire safety checks and extinguishers.
