Fire alarm installation in Weston-super-Mare.

Fire alarms in Weston-super-Mare

Weston-super-Mare is a seaside resort with a busy hospitality and accommodation sector, seasonal visitor trade and substantial retail and leisure premises. Many guest houses and hotels are in older Victorian buildings that have been adapted.

Premises we work with in Weston-super-Mare

• Hotels and guest houses in converted Victorian terraces with sleeping risk.
• Cafes, restaurants and amusement premises busy in summer.
• Holiday lets and caravan sites needing proper detection and warning.
• Retail and leisure on the seafront and town centre.
• Landlords and HMOs with rented and converted properties.

Local considerations

Sleeping accommodation raises the standard of protection, usually category L2 or L1 in BS 5839-1 terms, set by the fire risk assessment. Converted Victorian buildings have narrow stairs and many small rooms, which makes a precise addressable or wireless system valuable.

Fire and rescue service

Weston-super-Mare falls under Avon Fire & Rescue Service. Enforcing authorities can ask to see your fire risk assessment, fire alarm records and logbook, so having them in order is worth the effort. See your responsibilities.

How we work in Weston-super-Mare

Weston-super-Mare is a little over twenty miles from Wells, and we travel there by arrangement. We start with a survey, explain the options and price the system that suits the building. Then we install, commission and hand over with the records. Details: fire alarm installation, servicing, fire safety checks and extinguishers.
